The 2024 Africa Kidpreneur Summit was a remarkable event held in Botswana, bringing together young innovators from across the continent. Hosted in the vibrant city of Gaborone, the summit featured interactive workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and a dynamic pitch competition. Over 70 participants from various African countries gathered to share ideas, collaborate, and learn, making it a truly memorable experience that empowered the next generation of African entrepreneurs.
Our 2024 event saw over 60 children from seven African countries—Botswana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, and Uganda—come together to share ideas, learn, and grow.
The 2024 Africa Kidpreneur Summit in Botswana was an inspiring event that featured a diverse range of activities designed to empower young entrepreneurs. One of the highlights was the Pitch Contest Sessions, where participants presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of seasoned industry leaders. These panel sessions offered invaluable insights and feedback, helping to refine the young entrepreneurs’ concepts.
The summit also emphasized sustainability through the **Go Green Africa Sustainability Walk,** where attendees joined together to promote environmental awareness and action. The event concluded with a prestigious **Gala Award Ceremony,** celebrating the most promising talents and their contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape. The combination of these activities made the 2024 Summit a landmark event, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to a sustainable future.

Day One
The summit began with welcome remarks from Tshepo Thaba, Founder of Finance Kids, and an opening speech by the Convener Juliet Obi.
The first panel session focused on creating an enabling ecosystem for future African entrepreneurs and leaders, featuring notable speakers such as Ronnie Phuthego, Director of Economic Inclusion at Access Bank Botswana.

Day Two
The summit highlighted by individual pitch contest sessions, created opportunities for young entrepreneurs to present their ideas.
Panelists included industry leaders such as Will Jonas, CEO of STRIDE, and Tamar Muchieuta, CEO of Tamar Fragrance.

Day Three
The event concluded with the “Go Green Africa” Sustainability Walk, part of the summit initiative to educate and empower young Africans with environmental knowledge and skills.
This initiative aimed to create awareness and inspire the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens.
The gala award ceremony featured opening remarks by Mr. Brighton Litula, Zambia High Commissioner, with awards presented by Mrs. Anthonia Moka from the Nigeria High Commission. The event recognized Kidpreneur ambassadors from various countries for achievements in creative arts, tech, and green business.
